nick & toni's penne alla vecchia bettola

I absolutely love this recipe. Barefoot Contessa invited the chef from her favorite Hamptons restaurant to share the recipe for his version of penne alla vodka. I have made this dinner twice, both when cooking for guests. It is a perfect meal for entertaining because it's inexpensive and largely prepared before guests arrive. The sauce is cooked in the oven for an hour, so you can set it, forget it, and clean up before people arrive. Genius. This pasta is seriously amazing, and I would recommend it to absolutely anyone, anytime.
