El Cosmico

It's startling how quickly time flies (old person statement of the year).  I have been swooning over our Marfa pics for so long that I didn't even realize they were never posted. I've even made a gorgeous photo book of them, using the highly recommended company Artifact Uprising, that sits on my coffee table as we speak. If you've never heard of Marfa, it is an otherworldly, artsy oasis in the middle of the vast expanse of West Texas. The charm of Marfa is widely known, as its quirky nature has sparked a trendy notoriety among bloggers, Pinterest... and even Beyonce (bow down).

The hottest spot in town, El Cosmico, is a modern hippie haven. Created by hotel genius Liz Lambert, of Austin's Hotel San Jose, accommodations include your choice airstreams, tents and teepees, all of which define glamping at its best. We split our long weekend between an airstream and a teepee to experience as much as possible. Both were fabulous, but the teepee was the hands-down star of the show.

The design was flawless, the people hospitable, and the experience nothing less than magical. If it's good enough for Yonce, it's beyond worthy of us all.
